  WORKSHOP

DURATION:  1 hour
SIZE:  up to 20 students
per workshop
AGE:  3-8

I AM INTERESTED IN
HOSTING A WORKSHOP!

WHAT HAPPENS

1. Story Time
The author, or a trained native-speaking English, Chinese, or French storyteller will read the story in the chosen language, accompanied by a digital book that comes to life with music and moving pictures. If there's no Madeleine Editions storyteller in your area, we will arm your chosen teacher / librarian / parent with all the materials you need to run the workshop.

2. Behind the Scene
The storyteller will talk about the author's inspirations and lead a discussion with the children.

3. Creative Expression Activities
The storyteller will highlight the work of the musician and the illustrator - and conduct interactive activities that show the children how one can express oneself through music and pictures just as well as words!

4. Cultivating an Ear for Language
Author will invite the children to listen and play with pages from the other language edition, recorded by voice actors in our studios in New York, Paris and Taipei, pointing out how every language has its own cadence and rhythm, just like music!

THE EXTRA
We will send the children home with bookmarks and fun activities.
